“This is old.”
To the curb it goes and let it stay!
This move is intentional

White walls ready
Glass pristine to counter tops

Fragrant carpet pile
Stucco fresh and
Light-switch smooth

“This is home.” he said.

A creak-less door
with muffled thud
into the box of tile and pane

Straight wire cans
Light empty stoves
A refrigerator’s hollow hum

Plastic odors caulk
the paved and polished halls
Steps in a clean set wait

Down the stairs
With ducts and pipes
Burns blue a furnace fire

Up up to lay down
floorboards as headboards
Blankets for beds

Exhale once
and thinking twice
(for other words) spoke three

“This is house.” she said.
